Kalevala Ski Tour – March departures still available

There are still spots open on our March departures of the Kalevala Ski Tour – our more challenging ski trek designed for experienced cross-country skiers. The route leads through the quiet wilderness with daily distances of up to 42 km and luggage transfers provided. Book this tour and enjoy more time on the trails each day!

New snowshoeing departure added – 18–24 January

Good news – we’ve just opened a new guaranteed departure for our Off the Trails snowshoeing tour on 18–24 January.
Spaces for other January–February departures are limited, so book now to secure your place.
On this tour, you’ll explore the wild taiga around Hossa National Park, hike 5–6 hours/day on snowshoes, stay in cozy wooden cabins, enjoy open-fire picnics, evening saunas, and even ice-swim.

Another ski tour week for beginners

Our beginner-friendly Finnish Eastern Wilderness ski tour (22 March) filled up faster than ever, so we’ve just opened a second group for 17-23 February 2026.

No previous cross-country skiing experience is required to join. However, we don’t recommend joining “straight from the couch” – a moderate level of fitness is needed to fully enjoy the tour and the new sport. The route remains the same, but the pace is more relaxed and the program includes some basic technical instruction.

UKK national park ski tour – updated program

Our week-long ski tour “off the trails” has been updated. This challenging yet rewarding journey takes you through the pristine wilderness of Urho Kekkonen National Park in Eastern Lapland.
Travelling on forest skis and pulling your own pulk, you’ll cross snowy forests, open fells, and frozen marshes – with the option to summit Sokosti, the park’s highest peak. Nights are spent in wilderness huts, with the first and last night in a hotel.

This tour suits fit, experienced skiers who are also comfortable in cold weather conditions.
Tours are available by request for small private groups of up to 4 people.
