In winter 2027, our backcountry skiing tours in Urho Kekkonen National Park will be available for private groups only. But now, with our new Hossa National Park Backcountry Skiing Tour, individual travellers can also experience skiing “off the trails”.
The tour includes five days of backcountry skiing in the beautiful winter landscapes of Hossa National Park. Your luggage is transferred by car between the accommodations, so you only need to carry a small daypack while skiing.
Accommodation is in simple but comfortable cabins, with one night in a traditional wilderness cabin without electricity, offering an authentic Finnish wilderness experience.
Our first guaranteed departure is on 30 January with only 8 places available. Join us at a special pilot tour price and be among the first to experience the new tour.
“Winter Wonders for Families” multi-activity groups are filling up fast. Places are now available only in December, and availability for New Year week is already limited.

Great news for hiking enthusiasts! For the summer 2027 season, we are introducing a new hiking tour “The Spirit of Finland” with guaranteed departures. Easy to moderate hikes take you from the sandy shores of Lake Oulujärvi to the peaceful forests and lakes of Hossa National Park and Kylmäluoma Hiking Area. During the week, you’ll stay in two different locations – a hotel in Kajaani town centre and a cosy log cabin in the peaceful surroundings of the Kylmäluoma Hiking Area.
The tour will run regardless of group size, so there is no need to wait for a minimum number of participants. This also makes it a great choice for solo travellers. Explore the tour and book your place soon!
The joining point for our tours is Kuusamo airport, with only a few exceptions. If you have some extra time before your airport transfer or flight,hereyou’ll find suggestions on how to spend your free time in Kuusamo. You’ll also find information about accommodation and activities in Kuusamo and Ruka if you’re planning to extend your stay. Please feel free to contact us for any more information.
In addition to the standard airport transfers (included in the tour price), we offer extra arrival transfers to meet selected direct flights from the UK and Germany. These transfers are available on a few Sundays for an additional supplement.
Schedule 20 Dec, 27 Dec, 10 Jan, 7 Feb and 14 Feb Pick-up from Kuusamo Airport: 12.00-13.00 (to be confirmed) These transfers meet TUI flights from London Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester, Eurowings flights from Düsseldorf and Berlin and Finnair flight AY485, all landing between 10.10 and 13.00. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed four weeks before arrival.
21 Feb, 28 Feb and 7 Mar Pick-up from Kuusamo Airport: at approx. 11.00 (to be confirmed) These transfers meet Eurowings flights from Berlin (arrival 10.10) from Düsseldorf (arrival 10.45)
Notes * Extra transfers can also be booked by guests arriving in Kuusamo on previous days. Hotel pick-up is not available, so all participants must be at the airport at the designated pick-up time. * Transfers may be shared by participants from several tour groups staying at different accommodations. Depending on the route and the number of drop-offs, the transfer time may vary between 1 and 2 hours.
Supplements Winter Fun in Finland: €50 per person, including an extra lunch on the arrival day. There are no activities or guiding on the arrival day. You will meet your guide at dinner at 18.00.
Finland’s Eastern wilderness ski tour and Off the trails snowshoeing tour: €60 per person A member of our team will assist you with check-in, but there are no activities or guiding on the arrival day. You will meet your guide at dinner at 18.00. Lunch on the arrival day is not included, so please bring a snack.

A taxi to Kuusamo Airport costs approximately €25. A shuttle bus operates from Holiday Club Kuusamon Tropiikki to Finnair, Eurowings, Lufthansa and airBaltic flights (not TUI flights).
Kuusamo is the starting point for almost all of our tours, with only a few exceptions. We’re pleased to see that the upcoming winter season brings an even wider selection of direct flights to Kuusamo from across Europe. Below you’ll find the weekend flights that are best suited for our tour schedules. Flight schedules are subject to change. Please check the airline’s website for the latest information.
Airport transfers included in our tour packages are scheduled according to Finnair’s flight timetable. Please check the transfer schedule before booking your flights.
For selected tours, we also offer optional paid airport transfers in the early afternoon to accommodate passengers arriving on direct international flights.
If your flight arrives earlier than the scheduled airport transfer, you will need to wait for the transfer.
Your return flight must not depart earlier than the flight for which the included airport transfer has been arranged.
